Black and Gold and THANK You!
Our six-week faculty, staff and retiree campaign to support VCU and VCU Health is coming to a close. Last year’s campaign drew 1,757 unique donors and raised $3.78 million.
Success in this campaign is measured by the participation of colleagues and the engagement of our retirees. The most heartwarming aspect of this effort has been the stories our faculty, staff members and retirees have shared about why they believe philanthropy is important.
Sandra B. Barker, director of the VCU School of Medicine Center for Human-Animal Interaction, explained how the Dogs on Call program helps to calm anxious patients. Bobby A. Johnson, OT/TR manager in Rehabilitation Services, said he donates to support occupational therapy at VCU, the hospital where he was born and continues to work.
If you contributed, thank you for your gift to support an area, school, scholarship, program or fund within VCU or VCU Health. Your participation underscores your devotion to the mission and sends a strong message that VCU is one of the best possible investments for a potential donor’s philanthropic support.
The work you do, the time you give, the students you inspire, the patients you touch, the gifts you make — everything you do makes a difference. Together, we make giving real.
P.S. Faculty, staff and retiree gifts to VCU or VCU Health are measured from July 1, 2016, through June 30, 2017. If you are already a donor, thank you. Your gift will be counted in our final numbers for this campaign.
